Peak Consult was founded in 1996 by Per Kristoffersen, a talented cabinetmaker, passionate music lover and dedicated audiophile. Per decided to build his own cabinets for the loudspeakers he had purchased, believing that they could be significantly improved. What began as a focus on technically superior cabinet designs gradually evolved into the development of complete loudspeakers for friends who recognised his talent. Over time, he devoted increasing amounts of time, energy and attention to creating the ultimate high-end loudspeaker, using carefully selected drivers and premium crossover components.
In 2021, a new era began for Peak Consult. To fully realise the brand’s global potential, the company was acquired by two investors, music lovers and audiophiles: Lennart Asbjørn and Wilfried Ehrenholz.

The Dragon Legacy is the finest electroacoustic transducer system ever developed by the PEAK Consult team. It represents the culmination of the company’s extensive expertise in advanced loudspeaker manufacturing. Drawing on a combined century of experience in developing high-performance audio systems, extraordinary efforts have been devoted to meticulously refining every aspect of this product. The goal was clear: to establish a new benchmark for authentic music reproduction.
The cabinet has been designed entirely from the ground up and is exceptional in every detail. Eliminating cabinet resonances was the highest priority. Each Dragon Legacy loudspeaker weighs more than 225 kg. The side panels consist of four layers of rigid yet highly damped materials, with a total thickness of 50 mm.
The connecting sections between the individual chambers have a total thickness of 85 mm. Four different types of adhesive are used during manufacturing, each selected for its specific properties. A vibration-damping foam adhesive that never fully hardens is used to bond the HDF panels. Two types of adhesive are used in the cabinet construction: a hard woodworking glue in a special combination with a high-viscosity acoustic adhesive. A thick upholstery contact adhesive is used for the textured front and rear panels.
All custom-designed electronic circuits have been developed exclusively for this project, using state-of-the-art technology and materials selected for their outstanding sonic properties, and are handcrafted.
The bass section features two specially developed 28 cm woofers equipped with 75 mm titanium voice-coil formers and offering exceptionally long linear excursion. The cone features a sandwich construction of impregnated paper and foam, ensuring optimal performance of the rigid diaphragm while eliminating resonances that would otherwise cause unwanted sonic coloration.
The crossover is constructed using only the finest components, each carefully selected for its sonic characteristics and housed in a dedicated, sealed chamber. This chamber is filled with sand to eliminate any potential microphonic effects, while also maintaining stable operating temperatures even at the highest listening levels.
The outer layers of the top and side panels are made from 14 mm thick solid natural wood, providing not only additional rigidity but also further damping unwanted resonances. Six elegant yet extremely robust, adjustable stainless steel feet, mounted on solid rods, are decoupled from the main cabinet. Internal ceramic ball bearings serve as contact points, ensuring perfect stability.
