Slovakian electronics specialist CANOR has been developing and producing high-quality audio products for 25 years. The company places particular emphasis on ensuring that its products combine excellent sound quality, state-of-the-art electronics, ease of use and unique aesthetics.
In order to achieve the most musical sound characteristics possible, CANOR uses vacuum tubes in most of its products – the prototype of the first mass-produced tube integrated amplifier, the TP101, was presented at the Brno Fair (Czech Republic) in April 1995.
It goes without saying that CANOR only uses tubes of the highest quality, selected according to the strictest criteria and tested on measuring equipment specially developed for CANOR and therefore unique.
The quality of each product is checked before delivery on the latest analogue Audio Precision measuring equipment and in extensive listening tests after recording. This is the only way – according to CANOR’s philosophy – to produce products of such high quality and reliability over many years.
CANOR’s product range currently includes three integrated amplifiers, two phono preamplifiers and two CD players. The AI 1.10 is a Class A tube amplifier with an output of 2 x 40 watts. The AI 1.20 transistor amplifier weighs 28 kg, delivers 2 x 50 Watts Class A into 4 ohms and, like its sister model, has five audio inputs.
The AI 2.10 is a hybrid unit consisting of a valve pre-amplifier and 2 x 150 watt Class D power amplifiers. Featuring a flatter 120mm high chassis, the integrated amplifier has four RCA and two XLR inputs. The PH 1.10 and PH 2.10 tube preamplifiers are capable of processing audio signals from magnetic and moving coil cartridges.
The CD 1.10 and CD 2.10 CD players offer the comparatively rare combination of a high-quality drive, state-of-the-art converter chips and valve output stages. The CD 1.10 uses a 24-bit 192 kHz D/A converter to process the digital data, while the CD 2.10, with its flatter chassis, can even handle up to 32-bit resolution.
